Hey everyone.

im 15 and only played with knoppix a little. i read that it is the first to make a livecd. i want to run a livecd on a intel mac in my school and also on my moms macbook at home...can it do this or is it PC only?

Also, i want to do the "persistent home" thing where you use a usb drive to store your changes. are there any limitations? for example, could you run a complex program like freenet from a usb drive?

thank you...
oskar

I can't know what is really your intent in posting this. It might be valid, although it does not come across that way. Those looking to defeat school policies or other legitimate owners of computer systems do tend to get support here. Freenet, while claiming to promote privacy, is well known to be a tool for distributing warez, pornography, child pornography, copyrighted material and even terrorist communication. Do not be surprised that people do not help you run this on you're school's computers.

i do not see why they wouldnt allow it. im not trying to circumvent anything, i just get bored (50 min of study hall in the computer lab) and want to try it.

oh and i am not a terrorist, it was just an example :-) my point is, are there any programs that cannot run on usb like that.

I am only 13 and I think that everyone knows what he wanna do and has the Freedom of choice, by the way If you wanna save you can save your configuration Its good Y I dont know if programs but sounds like yes because the USB is taken as an HD, maybe you can run them from a terminal.
