Hello!

There are no problems during building KNOPPIX live CD from existing one. But when I burn resulting ISO on CD and try to boot my live cd I get problem in starting x. I received following message

Probing/Loading AGP modules
Starting the X Window system
Unloading unneeded AGP modules

After this x system cannot start

Any suggestion.

Best regards,

Oleg.

hi

it might be possible u've forgotten to fix back the changes u've done during re-mastering.

for this problem d changes u should revert back before compressing...

some of them bcoz of which this prob may ve arised: -

1>check whether u've moved d content of home back to /etc/skel n deleted d old /etc/skel.
2>changed d owner of knoppix user dir

3>removed d xorg.conf or XF86config-4 (depends on ur Knoppix version) from /etc/X11 directory.
4>restore d line allowed_users=anybody to allowed_users=console in file /etc/X11/Xwrapper.conf
5>umount /proc

U can diagnose the problem n chek whether ur xserver is working or not by directly booting from the re-master version. this way u can save time in compression n burning to CD.
