I'm running knoppix 5.0.1, and I know that there's some file where that you can edit to block IP or website addresses. I don't know where or what that file is, or if there's any other way of blocking. Can anyone help me on this? Thanks.

You would install Squid or another program that acts like a proxy server. Any matches in the squid control list would be blocked.

Have a look on google for other articles.
An alternative is if you have a broadband router with builtin firewall. The linksys AG241 for instance can filter web sites, without you having to setup configuration for your OS.

How about modifying the host file pointing the site to localhost.
