Knoppix 5.2 as distributed with ct magazine does not boot on my PC (Intel DG965WH Core2 Duo mainboard with PATA attached DVD).
The boot process aborts right after the (successful) detection of USB/firewire devices and complains about "Knoppix file system not found", throwing me into a very restricted shell afterwards. Exiting the shell results in a kernel panic.
Sadly, no previous Knoppix version I tried worked on that machine either.
I have had similar problems when I tried to install Ubuntu Edgy, but Ubuntu Feisty Fawn works.
OpenSuse10.2 always installed without problems on that machine.
