k3b, no cd writer to choose

i've got the right cd burner in the k3b settings but when i try to burn a iso file there is no cd writer to choose from. where else can i choose settings?

i dont have a cd burner...i just assumed that if it could read dvd it could write cds....most do but mine doesnt. thanks anyway
