I believe that when the market pays the sportsman, the market will stand because they are entertaining these huge audiences. The only reason they pay sportsmen that much is because people pay that much to watch them. Based on free market economics they are paid exactly what they are worth. Sportsmen get paid because of their training, dedication to the sports, and their talents. This is especially true in sports where the ONLY thing that matters is how you perform and do your job. They train hard, so they deserve a lot of money. They are not just paid for a little work, but they get paid for a lot of hard work. Sports fans willing to pay higher ticket prices and watch TV sports events in large number. That means more money to teams. Of course this is only worth for professional Sportsmen.
