cannot connecting to NIC -installed to HD-

Hi, all. I am a newb.

I installed kmoppix 5.11.
It can connect to NIC by CD-ROM start, but it cannot connect that HD installed and start.

computer:
SONY VAIO PCG-QR1E/BP
Ethernet Driver (Intel815EM) 5.40.11.0000 （EtherDrv_54011_WMe.exe）（344KB）［2001/07/31］
Modem Driver (Conexant SmartMC II) 2.14.18-010321 （Modem_21418_WMe.exe）（1,580KB）［2001/07/31］

Yup, a very common problem, and the reason many of us say that Knoppix isn't suitable for hard disk install. Please see answer #2 (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/User:Harry_Kuhman).
