dns problem

im using knoppix 5.0. when i do ifconfig, i get all the correct settings, proper ip address, all that good stuff.... i can ping ip addresses and access websites through ip addresses, but i cannot access websites. when i ping a website, it tells me unknown host. firefox tells me a similar thing. i know its a dns type problem. im not too sure on how i can configure the dns. any help with that would be greatly appreciated.

In a root shell run netcardconfig.
