I would like to rescue a broken harddisk using dd_rescue.
I have an internal harddrive with Windows on it (master, primary IDE, 2 partitions), another internal and empty harddrive (slave, 2 partitions as well) and the broken harddrive built into an external case that is connected through USB. Knoppix is run from the CD.
Can anybody tell me the exact steps I need to do to copy the external drive onto the internal slave?
