apache2 only answers to https requests

Hi:

Can someone help me ?

I start apache2 in knoppix 5.01 and when i browse to http://localhost or http://127.0.0.1 it gives a blank page or complaints that the conection with the host is broken. But if i request https://localhost (instead of http) it serves the page correctly
