linux proxy server for windows terminals.

I use a small windows based proxy server for networking 10 windows based terminals in my office. Recently i had used knoppix and i really liked it.I plan to eliminate the windows proxy server and install linux there. will this work with my existing windows machines ??? If yes then how do i configure knoppix to act as a proxy server for the 10 of my windows machines so that my windows machines can be able to acess the internet.
