6715b HP Business Notebook

I have a user who is trying to install an older version of Knoppix on a new 6715b HP Business notebook, but keeps on running into install issues. The user has successfully installed this version on this notebook's predecessor, the NX6325 HP Business notebook. The notebook is Suse Linux Desktop certified, but the manufacturer doesn't say anything about knoppix so of course there is no support from the mfg.

Any ideas?

Knoppix is a great Live CD, but was never designed to be installed. While possible, it is really for advanced users.

On modern hardware, it's best to use the latest version possible of Linux, to enable the best hardware support. I would recommend he check out a more recent version of Knoppix, failing that, Ubuntu, which is based on Debian like Knoppix. .
