I am running Knoppix 5.1.1CD-2007-01-04-EN on a PC with a French keyboard. Everything is OK when the X session is running, since the kbd can be configured.. Is it possible to configure BEFORE the Knoppix boot screen (the first screen, where you enter boot commands/cheatcodes) comes up. It is a nightmare trying to type characters such as m a, q, _, and more, because the keyboard is not correctly mapped at this point.
