wrong language....

I burned the CD and booted it up, and when i boot it it runs in german. is their any command i can type or sumthing to make it english or did i download the wrong version and need to re download?

You downloaded the wrong ISO. See answer #1 (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/User:Harry_Kuhman).

actually knoppix can be run in multiple languages. let me guess at how to change it in your version, (i'm running 3.8)

K-symbol (in postion of start button on a windows desktop)

go up to the option einstellungen, which is settings

go to the option for Kontrollzentrum, which is control center

here you can do this two ways:

click suchen tab (search) and search for "sprechen"

or click reionalenstellungen & Zugangshilfen, then land/region & Sprache

you should see a language selector of somekind. Knoppix picks languages by region, so press the Deutchland or belgium buttion for a dropdown of regions, and find america. it should be listed in Amerika, Noedliches , then USA.

this should help. there is also a manual command to change languages, but i don't know it.
