Where is Knoppix 5.2.1?

Has knoppix been discontinued? I havent seen a new version in about 1 year! Anyone got an update on the situation?

Check the Wikipedia entry for Knoppix. Apparently Klaus has been working on Adriane Knoppix, a variant for the blind/visually impaired, due in the 3rd quarter of this year.

Ah, I was wondering about that because some of the ntfs tools and gpart have been updated. The 0.2.5 of Gpart is "borken" with ntfs

What is the latest available version? I've been running 5.1.1. Did I miss a release or two?

No you did not miss anything, sadly, the current version is still 5.1.1, nearly 1 year old now...

Even though 5.2.0 was realeased to some people at a convention and in a german magazine (see http://www.knopper.net/knoppix/knoppix52-en.html ) in August.... 5.2.1 is not made for us to download yet, we just need to be patient, or wait for the Dev/Devs to tell us there will be no more knoppix :(

Oh noooo!!! :cry: I work as a computer consultant and carry a knoppix CD with me wherever I go since years. Even version 5.1.1, one year old, is very, very good; it is my "swiss army" Linux.

Yes, I agree 5.1.1 is still good, however its now over a year out of date :cry:

Even if Klaus said "dont worry, Knoppix 5.2.1 will be released in ... weeks or so" - that would put my mind at rest thinking about him discontinuing it :(
