Knopix on Hooting HD and booting from USB

Hi

I dont want to install Knopix on HD but just want to have its image saved to HD and boot it from USB.
Is this possible, if yes , can someone provide details step by step instruction as I dont want to run the Knopix from the DVD bcz its not only slow but the media reading may also pose some problems.

I partitioned the usb stick to save myconfig in the second partition. Don't forget to set the bios to boot from the stick. You may then save the knoppix image somewhere else - on a mounted HD
