I'm trying to install Knoppix on a laptop with a pcimia cdrom but I need to boot off a floppy disk as that is the only bios option. Various websites and even knoppix refer to a script called mkbootfloppy that creates suitable bootable floppy disks but it doesn't exist on the CD as they claim.
Anyone know where the hell it is?
Is there any other way of booting Knoppix?

I don't believe the script any longer works. Yes, there is an alternate way to boot a CD called SBM, but friends don't let friends install Knoppix. See answer 2 (http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/User:Harry_Kuhman). If you want to install a system then use Debian or some other distro suitable for hard disk install. If you just want to boot a CD then SBM may be your answer.
