Hi,
I am trying to run Knoppix 5.1 version (2007-01-04) on a computer with ECS 945gct-m/1033 motherboard and Intel Core-duo CPU. Network interface is detected as RTL8101E PCI Express Fast Ethernet controller (rev 01) and dmesg shows "r8169 Gugabit Ethernet driver 2.2LK loaded". However, the DHCP broadcast fails and eth0 is not up.
Should I load a different module? From what I can see, r8169 module seems to be the right one. Any help is greatly appreciated.
