using knoppix 4.0. trying to connect to internet using a netgear wg511t network adapter through a netgear router with wep configuration. the wg511 adapter has an atheros chip which is supposed to be compatible with knoppix using ath0, but i cannot get a connection.
using the network configuration i enter the ssid (the network name used with the router), enter the wep comfiguration password (same as entered on the router), activate configuration 1 and the ath0 is identified.
the screen shows that there is a strong signal being received, but when i pump -i ath0, i get the message that operation failed.
i'm a newbie and cannot get internet. please help someone.
