When I put the latest knoppix in my PC and reboot knoppix initializes. However I notice a folder being created ( etc/something). Is this created on a hard drive or on the RAM?
I ask this because I want to check my hard drive that are now in a raid setup individually so I will disable raid in the bios. At that point no software is allowed to make any writing operations to the disk because then I will loose my data.
