Knoppix 5.3.1 Live DVD was successfully able to recognize both Windows and Linux Partitions. When I open a HD (i.e./dev/sda1) I can see its content, when I try to open a folder, lets say /mnt/ on a Linux partition or /Users/Me/Desktop on Windows no files show up.

Any help?

Thanks

The /mnt folder will only show the directories available at the mount point, these will be empty if the partition is mount mounted.
If you mount a windows file system then you should be able to able to view its contents provided the file system is mounted.
Youre probably trying to mount a vista filessystem so as root post the ouput of:

fdisk -l
