Ok, so I'm a newbie, thats that out of the way.

I have a very specific need and a very specific problem that I just can't find a way around.

I just bought a 16GB usb stick, but the stupid manufacturer has gone and put some emulated floppy partition on it, and no matter what I do I simply cannot get rid of it.

One of the reasons I bought this stick was to put the DVD distro on it and boot from it, but with that floppy partition there the only way I can see of doing it is maybe have the necessary linux boot files in the floppy bit and put the rest of knoppix in the other bit, but try as I might I simply cannot find a way. The closest I came was a floppy boot image for DSL, worked ok until it couldn't find ld.so.cache and other /etc and /bin folders, at which point I got a kernel panic.

Can anyone please just provide me with a simple 1.44MB floppy image that will boot the knoppix dvd distro from my usb stick?

Many thanks.
