View Full Version : mounting /tmp causes login failure

Hi
I have installed knoppix to my HD with the usual swap and root partitions. However, i would like for /tmp to be on a separate partition. I have created this partition, but when i mount it, the system will only allow 'root' to log in.
Can anyone help me please :(

chmod a +rw /tmp

Bit off topic here Andy. Did you work for M.B.S. Engineering in the 80's ?

ermm - no sorry mate - was only born in 80 so i doubt that very much :) sorry to disappoint, maybe your mates on friends re-united or something?
