a couple of years ago, I had major problems with my Windows OS, and not wanting to lose my files, I was recommended to get Knoppix, download it, run it from a cd, and rescue my files that way.
So I downloaded Knoppix, made a boot cd, and rescued my files successfully, using built in burning software that came with Knoppix.
The Knoppix I downloaded then, had many games, lots of programs, lots of good stuff, I quite liked it, but sadly, in the time since I burned it, the disk got destroyed somehow when I was moving house. A lot of my computer disks did.
So, I downloaded the new Knoppix yesterday, and I'm using it right now to post on the web to you...
And I'm sad to say I cannot find any CD burning software included in the OS.
Which is making life very difficult for me, when my USB stick is only 1 gig, and I have nearly 40 gigs of files to rescue.

What happened to the burning program that came with Knoppix only 2 years ago?
Or am I just totally not seeing it, and it really is there?
