View Full Version : Knoppix 6.0.1: kernel parameter 'noprobe' has no effect

I switched from Knoppix 5.3.1 to version 6.0.1. I am booting Knoppix on my notebook from USB-Stick and used so far the kernel parameter 'hda=none' or 'hda=noprobe' to 'hide' the hard disk of my notebook, but this does not seem to work any more. I also tried 'ide0=noprobe', but the partitions of my hard disk always show up in the 'PCMan file manager' and also in /proc/partitions:

7 0 614400 loop0
3 0 78150744 hda
3 1 17430493 hda1
3 2 1 hda2
3 3 6705371 hda3
3 4 1628248 hda4
3 5 4200966 hda5
3 6 3180838 hda6
3 7 44994534 hda7

Does anybody have any idea how to solve that problem?

Thanks!
