Knoppix 6.1 (c't DVD) - Virtualbox Error

Hello,

trying to run a VM using VirtualBox OSE in Knoppix 6.1 started from the c't DVD always gives me the following error message:


The version of the VirtualBox kernel modules and the version of VirtualBox application are not matching. You can correct this by either installing the correct virtualbox-ose-modules package (if available) through apt-get or by building it manually with: module-assistant auto-install virtualbox-ose.
VBox status code: -1912 (VERR_VM_DRIVER_VERSION_MISMATCH).

This sound strange to me as the module package seems to be installed.

Anybody knows how to solve this problem?

Additional remark (20090330):

I have tried out the same with Knoppix 6.0.1 EN CD and on two more different PCs - trying to start the virtual machines always leads to the same error message mentioned above.

Has anybody successfully run virtual machines on VirtualBox OSE on Knoppix 6 ?

Hello Knoppix- and Vbox -users,

I have installed a knoppix on an USB-stick and on an USB-hd. It works find but it generates the same situation with Virtualbox as discribed by sucram.resse above.

Please can you give a help on this?
Do you have a workin' Virtualbox on Knoppix 6 ?
