Hi all, just wandered if there is anything else i can do to get this Toshiba Satellite 2435-S255 Working.
Here is the output.
"boot: failsafe
Loading vmlinuz............
Loading miniroot.gz.....
Ready.
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel.
"
The system is hung after this point. This same CD (3.2 beta 5-20-2003) has Hard Drive installed to another PC so I'm pretty sure its not a corrupted CD problem.
Any pointers would be great.

Ok found a thread (https://listman.redhat.com/archives/anaconda-devel-list/2003-February/msg00082.html) about this problem. This last posting (http://www.redhat.com/archives/anaconda-devel-list/2003-February/msg00050.html) seems to indicate Compaq and other "newer" laptops may have similar problems.

More digging. I found the holy grail (http://thorstenhaas.de/toshiba2410/#ACPI) of my problems. Unfortunately, It seems I will have to wait for 2.4.22; hopefully that will have APIC patch (http://sourceforge.net/projects/acpi/) needed for my laptop. It would really be nice to get the Toshiba Utils (http://www.buzzard.org.uk/toshiba/download.html) included in Knoppix.
