no sound on ASUS k8v-vm with VT1708/A

Knoppix V6.0.1-ADRIANE_V1.1CD-2009-02-08-EN.iso boots fine on my ASUS k8v-vm motherboard. But there is no sound. :-( No system sounds, no Orca speech, no dvd sound - just pictures. The hardware works with other Linuxes.

"lspci -v | grep -i audio" gives
