Knoppix 6.0.1 Freezes at 76%

Hey guys i am doing a hd install on an ibm thinkpad using the hd install manager utility thing and i set everything to auto and the installer freezes at 76% from copying files to hd

Have you tried a flash install to the HD instead?
Make the first partition FAT32 first.
