What's best version of knoppix

I've been using a tediously customized version of knoppix 3.4 (booting from compact flash) since 2004.

It's time to update to a usb bootable version, but the latest version is only for CD? What is the best knoppix version for me to boot from and add install all the software I want then master to a usb stick?

Have just installed V6,01 works brill on HDD and USB stick

i will take some screenshots from my desktop (is running knoppix 6.1) and its pretty awesome.

however, it has some issues i posted earlier, so maybe ask, if you need a full new version, or just recompile...

If you are going to remaster, I would certainly say 6.0.1+. There are quite a few quirks with that version as compared to 5.X, but AFAIK nothing that you can't fix relatively easily with a remastering.
If you are not goint to remaster, the question is really quite difficult, and the answer depends on who you ask.
