Trash Can

Does knoppix not come installed with a trash can? It seems whenever I delete a file it is just gone. Any way I can install a trash can? I was instructed by Ubuntu users to create a trash.desktop text file in the desktop folder with some code in it. But all that did was create a file that was annoying as hell to delete.

Any ideas?

Try "trash" in the search box in the nav bar - there are a fair few threads.
