I unplugged the ethernet, inserted the card and a few seconds later a box showed up said that a wireless network was available, I clicked it and it worked. :D
A plain vanilla Linksys Wireless N PCMCIA card that does NOT work in maybe...oh..... five HUNDRED other distos!!! :) and a Linksys wireless router about 10 feet away.
great job on the wireless!!

I removed the Linksys card and took a drink of coffee while grabbing for the ethernet cable and looked down at the "bars" and they were/are STILL THERE, I clicked it and woah, there was the Netgear(onboard generic).
WOAH!!
That card is seen SOMEWHAT more than the Linksys by other distos!
Thumbs UP folks!!

hi
sorry that i didn't reply more quickly, to date i've run 3 linksys pcmcia cards and the onboard atheros chipset and it all "just works". I can unplug a pcmcia card and the onboard card kicks in after I click it.
Wireless, at least for me is faultless.
