hd install and problems with hibernation

hi i have an hd install of knoppix 6.2 and
when i pres hibernate button , the screen turns black for few seconds
and then again appear ant there is message that internet conection (dsl) is disconnected ant the system tries to reconnect
but the hibernation does not happen .

There is definitely a problem with 6.2 and hibernation; I use "Suspend" from the shutdown menu. Perhaps someone will see this and do a deeper investigation, but for now...
