/usr fail umount

Hi,

I successfully did a HD install of knoppix, and created new partitions, one of which is /usr. When i shutdown however, /usr fails to umount everytime. Can somebody give me a pointer as to how i can get this to umount please?

Have you adjusted your /etc/fstab for the new partition?

yes i have:

/dev/hda6 /usr ext2 defaults,nosuid,nodev 0 2

is the entry for it.
