Knoppix doesn't start anymore

Why does not start anyor my Knoppix? It only pass over that audio notice "INITIATING START SEQUENCE" then it doesn't apear on screen any icons. :( What sould i do to pass over that state?

It sounds like you've been using a Knoppix CD/DVD successfully for a while, but now it gets stuck. What do you see instead of the icons? - perhaps some leftover text from the boot process? Hopefully, nothing has changed for the worse in your hardware, which can happen sometimes.

Also, it's possible that the disk has been compromised; it may only need to be cleaned, or it may have to be replaced. There is a self-test built in at boot time - just wait for the big penguin on the screen, then type in
knoppix testcd
or
knoppix testdvdThat test will tell the story, I think!

But it doesn't apear the big penguin anymore, it only apears that interface with icons just as they do not appear.

Well i did what you sayed to , and i found this : i/o err -21
Is it something bad? Will this cd run again ? I'm so upset , i almost cryed.
