I have recently purchased a tv tuner (Hauppauge 2550). I am trying to use the TVtime Television Viewer but is doesnt "see" my card. It is looking for it in /dev/video0. Perhaps Knoppix gives it a different designation? Even if that is the case I couldnt find an option to make TVtime "look" elsewhere for it.
