Hello everyone,
Just for fun I am messing around with knoppix 6.4.4 on my usb stick trying to change every single aspect of it with the goal of learning in the process :D
I have found a lot of configuration scripts and as they were well commented and named it was easy to find-edit them.
But when you login and do startx, what file contains the command of showing the linux pinguing and letting that women talk?

thanks for any input/hints

... have a look at '/usr/share/sounds' for sounds and at '/usr/local/lib' for the logo.

The startup-sound and the logo is defined in '/etx/X11/Xsession.d/45knoppix', the shutdown-sound in '/etc/init.d/knoppix-halt' and '/etc/init.d/knopix-reboot'.

I use the following line to let me know when /etc/rc.local is done.
There are a lot of other useful sounds to be found in Knoppix.

aplay -vv /usr/lib/libreoffice/basis3.3/share/gallery/sounds/ok.wav
