version 6.4 new commands

i have just upgraded to 6.4 and commands such like gpart /dev/sda do not work.

but everywhere I look i see very dated posts, blogs and how-to's

im interested in knopiix for data recovery, recovery of partitions etc etc

where can i get the new syntax?

... please, read the error messages you'll get from Knoppix. Within Knoppix 6.4.4, "gpart" isn't installed.

But why not use 'Preferences/ GParted'?

can someone give me an example or a link for using gparted for gpart work? Just a straight forward answer would be GREAT!
