How-to boot Knoppix-USB on a iMac-OSX?

On behalf of a friend, using an Apple iMac all-in-one computer with OSX,
I was checking the Internet - without success - if it is possible to run a
Knoppix 7.02 USB installation on this machine.
Has anybody an idea, where I could find more info on this issue?
Any comment is appreciated.

Hi there, This apple macbook pro just doesnt want to boot Knoppix live cd or USB. Just before I normally hear the female voice it jams and just hangs there.. I tried a Samsung usb dvd player with 7.0 and 7.2 but no luck. Anyone have a smart idea? Thanks in advance.. Moritz
