Hallo knoppix.net!

Starting knoppix ( Versions 5,2, 6.4.3 and even 7.0.4) on a motherboard ASRock K7VT4APrO
produced am amazing sound phenomen.right from the start

This mothe board is from ca 2004 and was made for AMD Socket 462 processors

The sound is in slow motion speed like voices in horror movies.

The onboard Sound Chip is a VIA VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller and C-Media-
Electronics CMA 9761A when asking the alsamixer command.

Now this strange and unexpected sound problem seems to be caused by the linux sound
modules from alsa
.
The internet tells us that slow motion sound can also occur with Intel chips and sometimes
happens when the PC seems to be stressed by too many tasks.

I found no proper working solution yet. Some people give the advice to install a .asoundrc
file to change the sample rate or to work on the /usr/share/als/als.conf file.

Perhaps any knoppix or Linux friends had to deal with this problem in the past and found
a way out to achieve normal sound-

Then I would be rather greatful to hear what could be done.
