Hi!

I am having problem running Software Center in Knoppix DVD version.

Everything else works fine!
Synaptic Package Manager is working normally.

But when I click on Software Center, it just shows some activity on the CPU graph at the lower right cornet but after like 4 seconds, nothing opens and the graph goes back to normal.

Kindly tell me what to do :)

You cannot use software-center within this Knoppix version.
aptitude show software-center

I am unable to understand.. Shall I simply keep using the synaptic package manager and forget software center?

Yes, forget software-center. Otherwise, you can try to solve the violated depends, recommends and conflicts by yourself :-)

Well, I think I can live with the synaptic p.m. I hope the next versions of Knoppix have that :)

Mods can close this topic :)

Thanks a lot Werner!
