How can i change my Dissolution of my monitor ?
I mean i don't want to have 1024x768 with 60HZ !!!!
My monitor could display 1152x846 with 85HZ !!
So how can i change and save this Dissolution ?
I have a GForce 4 Ti.
I have installed knoppix to hdd !!!
are there drivers for my card or is there a configuration to change the Dissolutions ?

Starting from the Kmenu -> Settings -> Control Center -> Pheripherals -> Xdisplay.

Also you can start kxconfig from the command line. You need to be root of course.

I have Knoppix 3.1 and xdisplay is not show (even as root) and the kxconfig or what ever is "Command not found !"

Is there another way in version 3.1 or a way that i can donwload this features ?

The way I would do that is boot your knoppix cd and use the following boot parameters:

knoppix screen=1152x846 xvrefresh=85 (plus any other necessary boot options)

if everything works OK mount your hd (install) as read/write and copy the knoppix created /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file to etc/X11/XF86Config-4 on your hard drive.

Note: make sure to include any other necessary boot parameters when you boot, such as wheelmouse if you have a scroll mouse etc. if you forget something you'll fix one problem and create another.
