no boot for cd

ok ive downloaded knoppix twice now. and no matter if i burn it as mode 1 track at once or disk at once or mode 2 track at once or disk at once the disk refuses to boot. and when opening the ISO with nero it locks it as mode 1 2048 track at once, which i dont understand why. i NEVER burnanything with those perameters.

all perameters for cd booting ar fine as i can stick in my XP cd and she boots up fine.

standard cd burning should be done as level 1 mode 2. why is this iso not opening as that,

i burnt it as level 1 mode 2 and the cd is recognised and there is an icon on my cd drive under windows, but it wont boot.

any thoughts ??

or should i just use the boot floppy ?
i shouldnt have to just dont understand why it says the cd is bootable when its not.

of for whatever crazy reason this time i burnt it again and it booted,, ggrrr the wonders of cd burning.
so go ahead and delete this thread if the admin wishes.
