Is there a version of Linux that supports Plug and Play like Win Xp? Plug and Play for additional CD Burners, Game controllers, Mouse's and most importantly in my case.... external harddrives.

Thanks.

Any version of Linux should support an external hard drive. Now I of course can't say that it supports ALL external hdd's but as long as it's compiled into the kernel it should work. How does your drive connect? USB, parallel, firewire?

Knoppix uses hotplugging for USB and IDE devices (if you have a hotpluggable IDE card that is).

Oh and BTW- Linux doesn't do anything like XP does- that's why we love it! :)
