View Full Version : Kernel Panic: Cannot mount root-fs (SCSI driver missing)

Hi

I think the problem is, that my root partition is connected to an MPT-Fusion SCSI Controller. So the root-fs cannot be mounted as in the current kernel this driver is only available as a module. Do I still have a chance to make the hd-install work? Can I recompile the kernel with the CD-version? Or does anybody already have a kernel with these drivers (mptbase and mptscsih) included?

TIA,
Stephan
