Hello everyone,

I try to run Knoppix on a computer with 14 MB RAM memory but Kernel freezes.

Is it possible to overcome this problem?

Yes, buy more RAM. Put 256mb at least in there, the more the better.

You may get it running in console mode only. It would still be slow, but it might run. If it still won't look around for other very small distros. Vector Linux is geared toward older machines, or look for the Floppy-based distros--you may have to go back a year or two software wise.

The alternative is to use your box as a LTSP terminal. But that requires having another working Box with enough guts to run both boxes.

It turned out that it doesn't work in console mode.
