Knoppix questions

Hi!

Just signed up and making first post with some problems using Knoppix. I installed Knoppix on a partition hard drive and have been trying for days to get Knoppix to detect Motorola sm56 modem. How do I do this?
How do I configure Knoppix to read zip, printer and Hard drive?

--If it's a parallel port Zip drive, you probably have to ' modprobe ppa ' or ' modprobe imm ' for the newer drives. Otherwise it might be ' modprobe ide-floppy '. In any case, unless you have actual SCSI drives on the system, the Zip drive will be /dev/sda. Win-compatible partitions (factory-default) are at /dev/sda4.

--Printer - haven't tried it myself, but try ' man cupsd '. Hard drive should be /dev/hda1.
