Yeah I read that one yesterday when I was getting ready to listen to The Linux Show (http://www.thelinuxshow.com/) it was in the show links. Them boys over there at SCO are some piece of work as they say around here.

guys, this simply ain't gonna happen. it's not only the unrefutable arguments of E. Raymond, or the fact that SCO distributed the kernel under GPL, or that they cannot prove when they coded what whereas the kernel developers can. It's simply that there is too much money at stake here not only for IBM, but for Oracle, Novell, HP and many others. money, big money, rules the show and, as sad as this may be, in this case it might be a blessing in disguise. Of course, this is a war by proxy which M$ is waging against Linux, but I don't think they hope to actully win it - only to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt. It is the next steps which they might take (via governments or chip manufacturers) which pose the biggest risk, IMHO.
