Hello!

I just "met" knoppix and I have to say I find it quite astonishing after using Debian for quite some time now. I still run it from CD (I haven't tried to install it on HDD yet) but it seems perfect for what I need.
The only thing that troubles me, is that although PHP is compiled with the '--with-snmp' and '--enable-ucd-snmp-hack' the php-snmp functions don't seem to work. Is ucd-snmp/net-snmp missing? How can I find out if it is installed or not? It's strange to compile PHP with the options for snmp and not to install the required snmp package.
If not installed, do I need to remaster knoppix? Will I have to re-compile PHP as well as installing net-snmp?

thanks,
Cirdan
