View Full Version : I can't start graphical mode. Reply to this someone.

I need help starting Knoppix. I have version 3.2. When i try to start it says:
Error:Only one processor found. I tried some thing someone said would help with the processor problem. It doesn't say anything about there beging an error because I don't have a dual proccesor, but now it's either in text mode or it takes along time to boot. Do you have to type a command for it to go to the desktop?

I don't know how to start the desktop. I'm sure it is starting in text mode.

You might want to give a bit more of a description of your hardware.
You can try starting knoppix with one of the cheat codes... check out

the "nosmp" option should fix your problem

when you have the prompt type "knoppix nosmp" , this should work
